Global Peace School Programme

Global Peace School* is a peace education curricula designed and developed by UN. It is to promote the agenda for children and armed conflict among school children through the use of UN designed curricula.

The first Global Peace School has already been designated in NY, and a lesson plan, based on the humanitarian novel, by Jerry Piasecki, "Marie: In the Shadow of the Lion' - a story based on the true experiences of children from situations of conflict - was piloted there. John Burgener attended the launch of the Global Peace Program.

Peacewaves is hoping to carry forward this project, and we are currently looking for teachers/schools that are interested in this project.
